Mr. Jaiprakash Gaur, an avid sports enthusiast and the chairman of Jaypee has been the major driving force behind the realization of world class racing track and facilitating the Formula One event. Jaypee Greens Sports City also hosts a world class cricket stadium having a capacity of 1, 00,000 seats along with Greg Norman golf course.

Sports city has been developed with the aim to provide luxurious housing amidst world class sports facility and large open spaces. It is being developed along the 165 Km long Yamuna Expressway and lies on the eastern outskirts of New Delhi.
