Sports City in Greater Noida to Host Formula One Racing Event

The efforts of Jaypee, an industrial and construction conglomerate are finally being paid as the Jaypee Greens Sports City is all set to host Formula One Grand prix motor race. This will surely be one of the greatest sporting achievements for India and it will also help in the popularity of racing events.The Motor racing track has been developed by the Jaypee group and it spans over 875 acres. It is all poised to be completed by 2011.

Mr. Jaiprakash Gaur, an avid sports enthusiast and the chairman of Jaypee has been the major driving force behind the realization of world class racing track and facilitating the Formula One event. Jaypee Greens Sports City also hosts a world class cricket stadium having a capacity of 1, 00,000 seats along with Greg Norman golf course.

Sports city has been developed with the aim to provide luxurious housing amidst world class sports facility and large open spaces. It is being developed along the 165 Km long Yamuna Expressway and lies on the eastern outskirts of New Delhi.
